Our Feeds

SVF 60/40
SVF 60/40 is a non-medicated maintenance feed that meets the animal’s basic nutritional needs. When added to the diet, it is an inexpensive way to increase average daily gain while cattle are consuming good grazing, silage, or hay. In the winter season, it is an affordable supplemental feed to help maintain body condition when there is little pasture grass available.
This feed should always be supplemented with forage when used in the diet and can be fed during the stocker phase or as creep feed when beef calves are still nursing the brood cows. It is formulated for 13.0% protein, 2.8% fat, and 24.7% fiber.
Grower – Finisher
Grower – Finisher is a balanced ration designed to optimize average daily weight gain. We have fed several show animals with top results. It is formulated for 15.2% protein, 4.0% fat, and 14.7% fiber. This feed offers a higher level of nutrition and more balanced proteins than the SVF 60/40 and contains monensin, an ionophore that promotes feed efficiency & weight gain. Cattle should have plenty of forage, such as hay, pasture grass, or low energy silages when consuming abundant levels of this feed. This feed should be used in growing beef animals during the stocker to finishing phase or fed to growing dairy heifers once heifers are greater than 8 months of age.

Beef – Starter
Beef-Starter provides high quality protein and energy for enhanced development during the early stage of calf’s life. This feed provides adequate fiber to be safe for young animals without a fully developed rumen. It is formulated to contain 19% protein (highly digestible) and 2.7% fat. The Starter will help in the transition period when calves are weaned off cows and it contains lasalosid, an ionophore for accelerated average daily weight gain. Feed this to weaned cattle less than 600 pounds body weight or as a supplement for calves still nursing their mama cow or on milk replacer. The brood cow can safely consume this feed. Also, the Beef-Starter feed provides a level of nutrients needed for an early weaning program.
